BREAKING: New Gondola System at Walt Disney World

Rumors have been flying around for a little while now about a gondola system being put in place at Walt Disney World. Well, it has been officially confirmed as documents have been released between Disney and The Reedy Creek Improvement District. The new gondola system will link numerous stations with 3 lines. These lines will reportedly go between Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Caribbean Beach Resort and and area between Pop Century and Art of Animation.

Disney are yet to release an official statement but have said that they “are always looking to explore new transportation options”. They have tried to keep this project under wraps and have referred to it under  code name for some time now.

In the documents that have been publicly released it is reported that each gondola will hold up to 10 guests and that they will be built and developed by The Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group which is based in Europe. It is assumed that the gondolas will be enclosed like other popular active systems.

Do you think this type of system will work at WDW? Are you looking forward to trying it out? Keep checking back as we will update when more details are released!!
